Our services are delivered by an experienced instructor and examiner with more than 15 years of practical heavy vehicle experience across the Northern Territory and broader Northern Australia.
Gross Vehicle Mass up to 8,000 kg
The Light Rigid licence authorises the holder to drive a rigid vehicle with a GVM exceeding 4,500 kg but not exceeding 8,000 kg, and any vehicle that a car licence authorises.
Gross Vehicle Mass over 8,000 kg — 2 axles
The Medium Rigid licence authorises the holder to drive a 2-axle rigid vehicle with a GVM exceeding 8,000 kg, including any vehicle that an LR licence authorises.
Rigid vehicle with 3 or more axles
The Heavy Rigid licence authorises the holder to drive a rigid vehicle with 3 or more axles, or an articulated bus, and any vehicle that an MR licence authorises.
Semi-trailer and B-double combinations
The Heavy Combination licence authorises the holder to drive a semi-trailer, B-double or road train combination and any vehicle that an HR licence authorises.
